Using CasuallySocial

CasuallySocial helps people discover and participate in real-world activities and location-based gameplay. You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, comply with applicable law, and use the service only in places you may lawfully and safely access.

Outdoor activity and safety

Real-world movement and gatherings involve risks. Pay attention to traffic, weather, terrain, property boundaries, accessibility, and the people around you. Never trespass, enter an unsafe area, or use the app while doing so would be distracting. A Beacon or Activity appearing in the app is not a guarantee that a location or event is safe, public, accessible, supervised, or suitable for you.

Activities and other users

Community Activities are created and hosted by users unless CasuallySocial explicitly says otherwise. CasuallySocial is not the organizer, employer, agent, or insurer of a community host or participant. Use reasonable judgment when meeting people and report genuine safety concerns.

Hosts may publish Activities only at publicly accessible places that attendees may lawfully and safely enter. Do not publish a home, private residence, restricted property, misleading address, or unsafe or inaccessible gathering point. Venue coordinates, venue names, addresses, and Activity posters are locked after publication; if the gathering must move, the host must cancel it rather than redirect attendees through an edited location.

An Activity host may choose location-based self check-in or host-scanned QR attendance. An entry pass is an attendance mechanism only and is not proof of payment, identity, safety, or entitlement to any product unless a future feature expressly states otherwise. Do not share, copy, falsify, or redeem another person's entry pass.

Acceptable conduct

• Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, deceive, or endanger another person.
• Do not falsely claim to represent a person, organization, or brand, or misuse a verification badge.
• Do not submit hateful, sexually explicit, exploitative, violent, abusive, or child-endangering content or organize conduct that creates those harms.
• Do not promote illegal goods, illegal services, spam, scams, or instructions intended to facilitate wrongdoing.
• Do not create misleading, unsafe, private, inaccessible, unlawful, or inappropriate locations or Activities.
• Do not spoof location, automate gameplay, exploit defects, manipulate scoring, or evade limits.
• Do not submit content you lack the right to share.
• Do not misuse reporting or moderation systems as a competitive weapon.

Content and moderation

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant CasuallySocial a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, reproduce, and process that content as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the service. We may restrict or remove content, Activities, Beacons, or accounts that violate these terms or create risk.

Child safety standards

CasuallySocial strictly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or any content or conduct that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers a child. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including generated or altered depictions, is prohibited.

Users can report concerning Activities and Beacons in the app or contact hello@casuallysocial.com. We investigate reports, remove prohibited content, restrict or terminate accounts where appropriate, preserve evidence when legally required, and report confirmed CSAM to the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law. hello@casuallysocial.com is CasuallySocial's child-safety contact.

Credits, XP, and faction scoring

Creation Credits, Player XP, Faction Points, Beacon control, and similar game values have no cash value, are not property, and cannot be sold or transferred unless CasuallySocial expressly introduces a separate feature that says otherwise. Game balance, limits, and availability may change.

Availability and disclaimers

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. Maps, GPS, user content, availability, and network services may be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable. To the extent permitted by law, CasuallySocial disclaims implied warranties and is not responsible for conduct of users or independent Activity hosts.

Hosts are solely responsible for selecting lawful, safe, publicly accessible Activity venues and for the Activities they organize. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CasuallySocial is not liable for a host's misuse of venue tools, publication of a private or restricted location, misrepresentation of an Activity, or failure to follow these Terms. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Suspension, termination, and changes

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary for safety, security, legal compliance, or violations of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time. The Privacy Policy explains account deletion and retained-record handling.

We may update these terms. Continued use after an effective update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
